Government representatives responsible for youth issues from SEE countries, national members to the CDEJ, representatives from National Youth Councils and national umbrella NGO’s will gather in Ohrid to discuss ways and means to promote effective youth participation in the democratic and decision-making processes in the region, based on the Council of Europe principles.

In the presence of the Director of Youth and Sport of the Council of Europe, the representative of the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities and experts dealing with youth policy, the participants are going to launch the Ohrid process which aim is to stimulate youth participation at national and regional levels.

The Director of the Agency of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Macedonia, Mr.Dime Spasov will deliver an opening address at the Conference.

Promoting youth participation is one of the main priorities of the Macedonian Chairmanship of the Committee of Ministers.
