The agenda of the Standing Committee will include reports on reinforcing measures against sex offenders, the European civil aviation industry confronted with the global financial and economic crisis, geothermal energy: a local answer to a hot topic and noise and light pollution.

Other topics of discussion will be the preparation of a code of good practice in the field of political parties, gender budgeting as a tool for safeguarding women’s health, reinforcing the effectiveness of Council of Europe treaty law, the draft third Additional Protocol to the European Convention on Extradition and the expenditure of the Parliamentary Assembly for the 2011 financial year.
